Eye shields are sturdy so you'll not injure your eye while it is healing.
Hold eye shield on with an adhesive strip, referred to as a "restick"; restick will have to be purchased separately.
There are also slots at the top and bottom of eye protector through which an elastic band can be looped through; band then can be looped over head.
