These screw caps are designed for use with Globe Scientific sample tubes.
They are made of polypropylene (PP), providing the same coefficient of expansion as the tubes and this, along with a polypropylene inner lip, ensures a leakproof seal, even at changing temperatures .
The cap has a long skirt and a super-fast thread design that allows it to be removed or sealed with a single turn .
These tube closures have O rings (also referred to as washers).
Tubes can be autoclaved (121° C) in upright position with the caps loosened.
