Ameda's HygieniKit system has the only proven Airlock Protection™ protective barrier (laboratory-tested) reducing risk and simplifying pump use and care.
Without the barrier, mold can easily grow in breast pump tubing when moisture becomes trapped inside it; its solid barrier keeps narrow pump tubing dry so need to clean or replace it.
A true "closed-system" has an effective barrier that also protects collected breast milk from potential contaminants, such as viruses and bacteria that may be present in the pump and/or kit tubing.
